Sandy first had the opportunity to play music in fourth grade. She took lessons in school and played in the school band for eight years until she began homeschooling. She even had the opportunity to participate in a local radio station’s talent show as a teenager. Although she always had a passion for music, as an adult Sandy’s busy schedule left her with little time to play music, until she learned about A Measure for Nothing from a friend in the fall of 2018.
Sandy was a welcome addition to the flute section and fit in extremely well with the other flutists. She has creative ideas, is cooperative and proactive. While playing an instrument alone can be fun, she especially enjoys making music as part of a group. Compared to other musical groups she has participated in, she appreciates the unique way that A Measure for Nothing offers such a supportive environment for musicians of all ages and abilities. In addition to her love of music, she enjoys other creative activities, including knitting, reading, and making crafts.
