Ruth Gallagher

Ruth began playing at the age of 7, for four years. She was inspired by the value her school placed on the arts facilitating instruments, motivational teachers, and participating in exciting performances at large venues; as well as her older siblings who played various instruments. Initially, she longed to play the piano, but not having that option at the time she took up the violin instead and immediately fell in love with the sound, flow, and beauty of the instrument. Throughout her life, she regretted putting down her bow as a youth. Music had become a faint, distant, "once upon a time" memory. 

Fast forward to 2019, after hearing of A Measure for Nothing, she eagerly joined. Since then, Ruth has spent the past couple years relearning the skill of reading music and playing her beloved instrument, the violin. Ruth's other interests include cooking, homesteading, fishing, and hiking.
