Leyla Bobkova

Leyla Bobkova was born in Russia, where she tried various creative endeavors, such as art and dancing, before deciding that her true interest was in playing the piano. She enrolled in music school and has been playing the piano for 11 years now. She moved with her family, first to Boston, and now resides near Edison, New Jersey. She discovered A Measure for Nothing through her friend, Alex, who is also performing with the orchestra for the first time and with whom she recorded a piece for this concert. Leyla is a sophomore in high school, where she plays in the jazz orchestra, and is also teaching her 10-year-old sister the piano.
