Jessica started to play flute when she was nine years old and later played with her school band. As an adult, she took lessons on violin, so when A Measure for Nothing was just getting started in 2011, Jessica wanted to participate and persuaded her mother-in-law, Brenda to give it a try, too. At the conclusion of one of the first sessions, Jessica commented, “I hope we’re not going to stop doing this anytime soon.” That was the inspiration that propelled the group forward.
After spending some time learning violin, Jessica returned to flute and has been a flutist with the orchestra ever since. Jessica is multi-talented. When she’s not playing the flute, she may be decorating a wedding cake, painting an elephant, sewing a quilt, or making pandemic masks for hospital workers.
